Highly Viscous Petroleum derivatives are used in the manufacture of rubber products such as battery cases, mat, hoses, toys, etc. Considering the various uses there is a requirement to use three types of derivatives such as paraffinic naphthenic and aromatic.
Oil is added to the rubber polymer and it works as follows: -
• Facilitate mixing operations.
• Reduce compounding time.
• Improve processibility. -
• Reduce cost of finish goods.
